Our approach to community-oriented filmmaking and our partnership with Lost Boyz Inc.
In our approach to filmmaking, we’ve made efforts on several fronts to involve the south shore community not only in how they are represented on screen, but also in the actual filmmaking process. rather than dropping into south shore for the film, our director has fostered a 11 years long relationship with lost boyz inc. the documentary was filmed with active participation from south shore residents, visits from our team during pre-production, hang outs and community gathering during off-days in production, and bi-weekly visits from our crew in post-production.
The staff and participants at Lost boys inc. are our partners and our friends. we strive to make a film that they’d be proud of. When you watch south shore summer, you’ll see much more than batting practice and games. we’ll show you what everyday life is like in south shore - the pure joy of childhood and the summer of their lives. No one knows south shore like its vibrant residents. We’re Partnering with Lost Boyz Inc. to take on two post-production interns. learn more about them below:

Madison
Post-production intern
Hi, my name is Madison. When I was nine I joined Lostgirlz where I started playing softball. I've been playing softball ever since. I first started video editing editing for my TikTok. I'm a creative person who enjoys drawing, painting, and digital media. I love editing because it allows me to create whatever I want and have fun with it.
